Mission

Develop low environmental impact thermoplastic elastomers

  • Evaluate the integration of low environmental impact ingredients into elastomer formulations by carrying out compounding, extrusion, and injection steps.

  • Carry out mechanical tests in collaboration with internal and external laboratories to characterize the mechanical properties of the developed compounds.

  • Define recommendations and support Decathlon's industrial partners in implementing the eco-design solutions developed.

Identify and evaluate the influence of masterbatches in order to improve the performance of cushioning foams for footwear

  • Source masterbatch solutions

  • Conduct formulation trials using an extruder to quantify the impact on the compound's properties

  • Inject test specimens on a laboratory injection molding machine

  • Perform mechanical and rheological tests on the resulting compounds and test specimens

  • Analyze and interpret the results of the compounds and characterizations

  • Support and advise internal teams on the industrial solutions to implement, following the results of the study conducted

Profil
