Mission
At Decathlon, we believe in the power of sport to transform lives and make sport accessible to the many. With an international presence in over 60 countries and a fully integrated value chain, our group relies on a solid shareholding structure and shared human values. To support the development of our business activities and drive the technological transformation of our global Finance function, we are looking for a committed Group Consolidation Specialist, ready to take on stimulating financial and technological challenges within a passionate team.
Your future contribution
Reporting to the Group Consolidation Director and integrated within an expert team of 10 people, you will play a driving role in producing Decathlon's consolidated financial information and actively participate in the Finance rollout of our Oneby30 project. You will operate in a complex, multinational environment characterized by significant operational challenges and external growth.
Your responsibilities center around three major pillars:
Production of Consolidated Financial Information (IFRS): You will pilot the monthly and annual closing process for the group’s consolidated accounts, guaranteeing the quality, accuracy, and compliance of the financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow Statement) in accordance with IFRS. Our global consolidation process is very tight and generally takes place over 4 days. It includes 2 days dedicated to supporting the countries assigned to you (quality of reporting data) and 2 days dedicated to cross-functional controls. You will act as a technical reference on complex consolidation issues, notably perimeter changes, business combinations (IFRS 3), treatment of control structures (IFRS 10), and deferred taxation (IAS 12).
Steering Digital Transformation and Processes (OneStream EPM): You will play a key role in the administration, optimization, and continuous development of our unified consolidation and reporting tool, OneStream. You will lead projects aimed at automating financial information flows between Finance tools, evolving our platform as part of our new Workday Finance implementation, improving our reporting, and shortening our closing deadlines (fast-close) in close coordination with international financial organization teams and the IT department. In summary, you are the functional lead for the digital transformation of Consolidation, capable of adapting OneStream to regulatory constraints (IFRS 18, CSRD / ESRS) and the needs of our executive leadership team (Disclosure Management reporting).
Business Partnering and Growth Projects: You will collaborate closely with the group's various internal stakeholders (Treasury, Tax, Management Controlling, and CSR/Sustainability Department) to secure the accounting treatment of new business models and entity acquisitions. You will actively participate in evolving our performance management reporting and contribute to the progressive convergence of our financial reporting with the sustainability requirements of the non-financial directive (CSRD / ESRS).
A dynamic working environment favoring work-life balance, with a clear hybrid remote-working policy (up to two days of working from home per week).
A comprehensive compensation package, combining fixed salary and variable pay based on your results and the company's performance.
An individual development plan shared with your leader.
Our Commitment to Inclusion and Accessibility
At Decathlon, we recognize the immense value that diversity brings to our teams, and we continuously strive to foster and cultivate an inclusive and equitable workplace: this is why Inclusion is one of our Human Fundamentals. We encourage people of all backgrounds and abilities to apply, as we are convinced that diversity of thoughts, cultures, identities, and lived experiences makes us stronger.
Decathlon is also committed to providing an inclusive and accessible selection process for all candidates. If you require accommodations, you can request them via the application form, and this request will remain confidential. These requests do not affect the outcome of the recruitment process.
Profile
Collaborative Mindset: Rigorous, autonomous, and structured, you are recognized for your excellent team spirit, strong organizational skills, and adaptability when facing shifting challenges or uncertainty. You demonstrate curiosity and a pedagogical approach to explaining complex financial concepts to diverse interlocutors. You have the ability to step back, be a force for proposal, and manage your projects with an expert hand to bring a differentiating contribution to the team project.
Technological Appetite: You demonstrate a real appetite for tools and an excellent command of financial information systems. Your professional use of OneStream in your roles will be a major asset.
Proven Track Record: You have significant experience of at least 6 to 7 years in financial consolidation. This background was built within a globally recognized Tier 1 audit firm and/or within the consolidation department of a major multinational group.
Technical Mastery: You possess an excellent knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and their practical applications. Your experience covers the formalization of accounting treatments during external acquisitions or legal reorganizations, and documenting sharp topics for Executive Management or external auditors. You master reconciliation schedules, identify sources of error, and propose the necessary corrections.
High-Level Education: You hold a Master’s degree (Master 2) in Accounting, Control, or Audit (Master CCA, Business School) and/or a professional accounting qualification (DSCG or certified public accountant/memorialist).
Languages: Given our global presence, you are fluent in professional English, both written and spoken (B2 minimum).
