Mission
As part of the Decathlon global strategy to scale our market presence, our ambition is to develop our retailer activity through the Franchise Model.
To achieve this, we need automated and global solutions to adapt our model and ensure seamless operations. Transitioning to a model where we invoice franchisees requires us to deeply transform our financial architecture. It’s mandatory to connect, interact, and operate efficiently with our selected partners all the way through our operating model, covering not just physical products, but all omnichannel services.
Mission
You will be a member of the New Business Models team, inside the International Financial Operations (IFO), which is part of Corporate Finance. You will also work functionally with the Franchise team in order to grasp all the business aspects and inputs needed to drive your mission efficiently.
To support the acceleration of this new business model, you will play a key role in structuring our financial ecosystem. Your primary challenge will be to formalize processes and deploy automated, secured invoicing flows directed towards our franchisees (external clients).
Crucially, this financial operating model must be "seamless" and comprehensive: it must secure and automate the flows not only for product sales but also for the entire catalog of services offered by a Decathlon store (e.g., Gift Cards, Workshop repairs, etc.). As a true project leader, you will animate the different stakeholders (Digital, Supply Chain, Corporate Finance) to design this end-to-end architecture, guaranteeing total security of financial flows and maximum efficiency for our international partners.
Your main contributions will be:
- Lead the project scoping, estimate the costs of the various required solutions, and prioritize topics based on the secured budget and potential risks.
- Coordinate the execution of the Finance lot for the upcoming Franchise projects (activation, transformation) listed in the United Franchise Roadmap.
- Contribute to the definition of the Operating Model for the Franchise Business Model, with a strong focus on external client billing and automated invoicing.
- Draft, test, and validate the automated financial solutions (processes, tools) associated with this Operating Model, keeping an end-to-end view from product/service delivery to franchisee invoicing.
- Secure the financial flows for all in-store services (Gift Cards, Workshops, etc.) adapted to the Franchise reality.
- Animate as Project Leader the different stakeholders (Corporate Finance, Digital, Supply Chain) in the implementation of these financial solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the Accounting Centre of Excellence (COE) in charge of the accounting and financial 'Run' (daily operations) for this business model, ensuring a smooth transition and continuous alignment.
The purpose of this is to:
- Accelerate on all franchise models (transformation, activation, hybrid…)
- Provide relevant tools for countries to accelerate
- Create united solutions to avoid local/fragmented solutions
- Limit risks through unified and automated processes
Profile
We are looking for a well-connected and dynamic teammate able to drive the change with strong Decathlon fundamentals. It will be key to understand business needs and translate them into concrete actions. Formalization is key to materialize needs and propose scenarios/options triggering the right decisions.

- Methodical: Strong organizational capabilities and management of priorities.
- Background: Proven experience of minimum 5 years in concerned areas (project management or accountancy).
- Language: Fluent English speaking (able to deal effectively in an international environment).
