The BAGS design office (industrial process accompanying the design, development and industrialization of Decathlon bags, covers and luggage) is looking for its future product engineer.
At Decathlon, your mission is to help us accelerate on strategies within the BAGS project to better design, develop, and validate exclusive and innovative bags for our users worldwide. Leveraging your shared vision with the sports team, your collaborative work on product specifications, and your market knowledge, we expect you to contribute to the below areas.
Your Main Responsibilities : Product engineer internship
Product development
- You take charge of some product developments (recolor, new simple bag or modification) to develop skills in the professional gesture of product engineer.
For that :
Exploring, designing, developing and validating finished and semi-finished products in collaboration with sports our prototyping workshops and our suppliers.
As the person responsible for managing your projects (planning, facilitation, etc.), you are accountable for Cost, Quality, and Time indicators for your developments.
You contribute to the upskilling of the Design Office by capitalizing on and actively participating in our projects to improve design skills (your internship tasks will be in this direction)
Through your concrete actions, you actively contribute to reducing the environmental impact of your products and innovation
Excellency in development
Working in conjunction with product engineers to create templates for capitalizing on the technical data of our products using our new digital tools (software clo3D).

The internship can start between February and March 2026, for a minimum of 5 to 6 months.

BAGS Process manages all bags and luggages for Decathlon sports brands.
It represents around 900 models for a retail TO of 681M€ in 2024.
Around 35 people in the team, based in Lille, Passy and Hendaye.
