Footwear is a complex product made up of many different components and processes that enable us to meet the key challenges of functionality, performance and design.Within
Decathlon Footwear, a laboratory team is responsible for characterising products by creating and deploying test methods throughout our international network.
The testing engineer - project manager will:
- Identify, deploy and improve characterization methods for product & component testing to guarantee a reliable performance for our customers.
- Develop and conduct tests/studies in order to guarantee the quality and the correlation with the use of DECATHLON products
- Animate the internal and external laboratory network on conception and production control to ensure product excellence.
THE MISSIONS
Project management:
Identify & coordinate the right internal and external allies/ sponsors on the project.
Establish Laboratory roadmap with the Product Benefit leader
Highlight the risk and its management
Define the deployment strategy
Communicate and promote the test methods to the Footwear community for better transformations
Methods development and deployment:
Manage tests developments from needs expression to the deliverable emission to animate a grip test catalog.
Train, coach and validate the network to ensure the grip test skills homogeneity
Animate, evaluate and follow the network laboratories of the perimeter in order to ensure the reliability of test results.
Source, negotiate and formalize contracts, in order to purchase laboratory services
Grip methods technical support:
Act as the primary link with the sports teams to support conception AND production team to secure production control about grip testing activities.
Profile
Your Professional background:
Engineering degree
Background in material chemistry (Thermoplastic material experience is a plus)
Minimum 2 years experience in conception and/or production
English fluent
Leadership (demanding and agile) / Functional management
Adaptability & tenacity to succeed in your project management.
